Personal Bio My name is Ruben Mikkers. I am a partner at KPMG Deal Advisory (Transaction Services). I joined KPMG in May 2005. I am an advisor to large and international corporate clients such as Philips, United Technologies, DSM, Lukoil, Borealis, BMW, Assa Abloy, and Dr. Reddy’s as well as private equity clients, including Investcorp, Astorg Partners, Life Science Partners, Azalea Capital, Nordian Capital, Gilde Healthcare, and Advent International. My areas of specific expertise include vendor due diligence engagements, buy-side due diligence projects including engagements when VDD reports are available, independent business reviews, modelling, closing mechanisms, SPA advice, and post-deal integration. Before joining KPMG I worked as an equities portfolio manager / buy-side analyst at Robeco Asset Management in Rotterdam for six years. My background is a Master’s Degree in Econometrics from the University of Groningen (up in the North of the Netherlands). In addition I earned my Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter in 2002 and I earned my Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) designations in 2007.
