Leading Role in the Korean Anti-Corruption Efforts Dr. Young-Moo Shin leads as the standing representative The Citizens Coalition for Social Justice (“CCSJ”), an independent non-governmental organization launched in 2014 in Korea. Since its inception, CCSJ has focused on two initiatives: promoting a strengthened sense of anti-corruption and the rule of law and reforming the public education system in Korea. Members of Shin & Park actively assist various initiatives taken by CCSJ, via symposiums and seminars, grassroot campaigns, and legislation monitoring activities. CCSJ also provides free legal consultation services to low- income people of all ages in Korea using a mobile application, which enables face-to-face conversations. Especially, back in 2015, CCSJ surveyed all members of the Korean National Assembly asking about their positions on the then-new Improper Solicitation and Graft bill, so-called the Kim Young Ran Act. The result of the survey was highlighted in major newspapers in Korea, and the bill was passed soon after by the subcommittee and finally by the National Assembly plenary session.
