He deals with clients from all walks of life, he has built up a relationship with the NHS and assists the organisation and employees. Graeme delivers presentations and advice relating to the NHS pension scheme as well as other government run pensions including the police, local government, teachers and firefighters. He has built up a depth of experience and knowledge of the challenges facing workers coming in to retirement in the current climate. This led to the NHS approaching him to ask for assistance explaining the impact of the UK pension annual allowance and lifetime allowance on employees as well as helping employees who have queries about upcoming changes to the NHS pension scheme. As well as achieving the “gold standard” Chartered Financial Planner qualification Graeme also holds the Investment Management Certificate and specialist qualifications related to pension transfer advice. Graeme started work in 1988 through a Youth Training Scheme for the Royal Bank of Scotland. He soon developed an interest in banking and finance and achieved impressive results in his Scottish Institute of Bankers Exams. Whilst working for RBS he was based in various bank branches throughout Glasgow. He then moved to Abbey National and was posted to one of their investment offshoots, Inscape Investments, in Leeds. After a number of years working in Leeds and Yorkshire Graeme moved back to Scotland, working over the following years for Bank of Scotland, Barclays Wealth and Towry.
