Over the course of an intensive 15-year corporate career in the investments industry, Arthi has led multiple, successful initiatives (among them equity research, talent management, capital raising, portfolio management, transformation, and coaching) across geographies and client segments in business. Her last corporate role within Institutional Business Development allowed her to expand her expertise in capital raising across investment classes (from passive investments to listed equities and debt, to more detailed impact investments) as well as gaining detailed knowledge of and access to a wide segment of institutional clients. Arthi is an Independent Non-executive Director of Global Grassroots, an NGO focusing on woman empowerment in vulnerable communities, currently focusing on Rwanda and Uganda. Arthi completed her Certificate in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors UK in October 2021. This underlies her goal to strive for more women on boards who understand the complexities of board management along with imparting expertise. Arthi has also served as a Round 1 Judge on the Africa Business Heroes (ABH) competition 2021. ABH is the Jack Ma Foundation's flagship philanthropic program in Africa to support entrepreneurs in all industries. In August 2021, Arthi won the Positive Role Model Award (Southern Africa) in the Entrepreneur/Consultant category at the 9th Gender Mainstreaming Awards. Her specific approach to relationship advancement has built and sustained enviable networks of institutional investors spanning the globe. She now uses these for the benefit of founders and entrepreneurs requiring start-up or expansion capital. Arthi is an MBA graduate from Henley Business School, having been awarded the prestigious Archbishop Desmond Tutu scholarship at the age of 26 to complete her studies. Arthi is an ACC ICF accredited coach, a member of the Association of Coaching UK, Master Partner Practitioner for the Neuro-Agility Profile™ Assessment, and a member and contributor of thought leadership insights on the expert panel on the Forbes Coaches Council, along with articles for Forbes. Arthi serves as an Academic Tutor for MBA candidates at Henley Business School Africa. She is also listed on the executive panel of coaches for South African companies, predominantly in the financial services sector.
