Obtaining a BA Honours degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Mathematics in 2003 from The University of Sheffield; Gayle started her career at a small chartered accountancy firm in West Yorkshire where she undertook her Chartered Accountancy exams becoming a qualified member of the ICAEW in 2006. In 2007, Gayle made a move into industry as a Management Accountant for a large healthcare provider in the UK. During her 10 years in the healthcare company, Gayle qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor, becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and saw promotions through to Tax and Treasury Manager. In 2017, Gayle moved to Bulk Tainer to manage its finance function which was previously outsourced. Gayle has been an integral part of the business; as well as managing the accounts function across numerous Bulk Tainer Group companies internationally, successfully guiding the business smoothly through its financial audits, conforming to all regulatory filing requirements, she has assisted in securing additional finance required to meet its working capital needs through significant periods of growth and setting up companies globally around the world. “I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Bulk Tainer and work alongside a fantastic, dynamic Senior Management Team. AboutBulkTainerGroup David Eltherington, director and owner of the group, founded the company in 2009 with the aim of being the best iso-tank operator, offering the highest standard of service levels and integrity through regulatory compliance and accreditations. The group has experienced significant growth since incorporation recording a turnover of £83.8m for the year ended 31 December 2021 and now has over 280 employees around the world, incorporating decades of logistics experience. The group’s employees are key to its successful growth to date. The group started as a small family run business and all employees are referred to as being part of “The Bulk Tainer Family”. Since opening in the UK, the group has expanded globally and now has entities/offices in Spain, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Italy, China, UAE, Singapore and the USA. The group currently has a fleet of over 9,000 iso-tanks; as this is a relatively young fleet they have all the added innovative safety features which provides the group with a competitive advantage. The group has developed its own GPS units which are ATEX approved and installation across the group’s fleet of iso-tanks is underway. This will provide its customers with a new and unique view on the performance of their product whilst in the logistics part of the supply chain. Since 2018, the group has invested in a haulage division, Bulk Tainer Transport. This provides the logistics division with an assured service in key strategic areas, reducing the reliance on volatile third party service providers. Bulk Tainer Transport now has divisions in the UK, Holland and Spain with further expansion under consideration in the USA and China.
