About Sylwia Raczynska
Sylwia Raczynska, a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal, brings 22 years of experience in operational improvement and business strategy implementation. She has played pivotal roles in operational turnarounds and has held a number of senior interim management positions.
Ms. Raczynska served as Chief Restructuring Officer of the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace business; Chief Transformation Officer of an Advent-owned ship management company; CEO of Libet, Tarmac’s subsidiary; COO of CTL Logistics, Poland’s largest private rail cargo company; and Restructuring Manager at UAE-based Gasco, the largest natural gas processing company in the world.
As CRO, she has been leading transformation of the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace business to improve sustainable cash generation, driving simplification of the operating system, implementation of efficiency and effectiveness in product development, and cost base reduction. As the Chief Transformation Officer for a global ship and crew management company, she led definition, structuring and implementation of an aggressive growth and profitability improvement program with 12 work streams, managing internal teams, as well as strategy consultancies. She delivered 10pp EBITDA improvement in nine months.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Raczynska served as Director of Structuring at Peninsula Growth Capital, a family investment company focused on Special Situations Investments in the SME range, based in Abu Dhabi. In her role she was responsible for identification and evaluation of investment opportunities, preparation of value creation plans for the portfolio companies, as well as hands-on support in their performance improvements. Previously, she worked in Abu Dhabi at OC&C Middle East in Abu Dhabi / Dubai for oil & gas and industrial clients. Prior to that, Ms. Raczynska worked at Kolaja & Partners, a premiere interim management firm in Warsaw, where she led a variety of performance improvement cases in Poland, the UK and Germany. She began her career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
